No campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. That’s the current word on the street.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will lack a “traditional single-player story mode,” but will possibly feature Battle Royale, according to two separate reports.
Sources speaking with Polygon have said Black Ops 4’s lack of a single-player campaign came down to time constraints.
“As Black Ops 4’s release date approached, it became evident that development on the single-player campaign wouldn’t be completed,” reads the report on Polygon. “One source said Treyarch has since focused Black Ops 4’s development on expanding multiplayer and the series’ popular Zombies mode.
“The source described an emphasis on cooperative modes potential stand-in as a potential stand-in for the typical single-player campaign experience.”

The next Assassin’s Creed game is reportedly well into development, and it’ll be taking the series to Greece for the first time.
According to a new report, ancient Greece is going to be the setting of the next Assassin’s Creed game, due for release in 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Why Greece? Well, the report indicates that last year’s Assassin’s Creed Origins was initially planned to also include Greece, but Ubisoft later decided to give it its own game.
The information comes by way of Liam Robertson, who is mostly known for his work on Unseen64 uncovering cancelled and lost games. Writing for Comicbook.com, Robertson cites multiple sources “linked to Ubisoft.”
Assassin’s Creed 2019 is said to have been in full production since early 2017, and is shooting for a fall 2019 release. We don’t yet know what it’s going to be called, or even its internal codename (Origins’ codename was Empire).
