Brian Burns founded 3rd Degree Burns as a halfway house for wayward souls in search of enlightened advertising. Since that time he has helped put many clients back on the path of righteousness, strategic design and good grooming habits. Brian began his design career in 1983 after joining the U.S. Army. His nationally vital role was to create graphs that showed the effectiveness of graphs when used to present graphical data. This information is even today considered classified and highly irrelevant. In 1986 Brian attended the Communications program at CSCC in Columbus, Ohio. After 3 years of education rendered useless by the advent of the Macintosh, he rode the rails to Las Vegas in 1990. The next 9 years included graphics management positions with Bally Gaming, Paradise Graphics, MGM Grand, Collegiate Graphics, Adera, and Keizer Communications. Since it's inception in 1999, 3rd Degree Burns has enjoyed solid growth and has become a respected name in the community, winning several Addy, Bronze Quill, Pinnacle and AIGA awards for design. Even though he is an award-winning creative, the only award Brian really cares about is his 2nd Place trophy from the 1973 Punt, Pass and Kick competition. "I only got beat because Wally Fahler wore steel-toe boots," remembers Brian. |
